With a rant.
...
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Absolute fucking waste of flesh. No amount of jail time is good enough for this. Death Penalty or nothing. I don’t want any tax dollars going to keep this reptile in a human skin suit alive and comfortable.
My day’s fucked now. All I can think about is my niece and how utterly devastated I would be if something like this happened to her. There are people out there who’d give their lives to have the little piece of family and belonging this human shaped dementor destroyed in the worst possible way. Time to do the right thing, New Mexico. This little one needs justice now, and you better deliver.

We are better than that. Especially when we execute innocent people while the real culprits go free simply due to human error. Besides, death is too good for someone like this. Prison, especially for people like this guy, is a worse sentence if it’s a sense of retribution you seek.

Utilize the death penalty, via hanging. The rope is reusable.

When I see stories like this I sometimes wonder if it is worse because it is their own child, or if it would be worse if it were somebody else’s child. It is astonishing to me somebody would do this to their own family, but on the other hand it means aside from the victim the only suffering will be their own when they get what’s coming to them, instead of destroying a whole other family.

Don’t give me that moral high ground crap. We are not talking about maybe executing someone who is innocent; this is a case involving a person who has confessed, and is linked by incontrovertible empirical evidence to, the worst crimes a person could commit against their own flesh and blood , shortly before ending their lives.
death is too good for someone like this
Death is what this person deserves. They do not deserve free room, board, food, healthcare and protection from violence for the things they’ve done. Humane treatment is reserved for those of us that are still human.
Prison, especially for people like this guy, is a worse sentence if it’s a sense of retribution you seek.
A sentence of Death here is not one of retribution. A wish for a similar terrible fate they doled out to their own child would be retribution. A mere death sentence pales in comparison to what this little girl suffered in her time on this Earth. A death sentence means the suspect merely gets to go to sleep for one last time. They still get free room and board for a little while. They still get to exchange final words with their loved ones. They still get to have one last meal of their choice. And even in death, they still get to pass away in a humane manner that leaves their bodies intact and unviolated. Most of those are luxuries not enjoyed by that poor little girl in her final moments.
Death alone here is not retribution. Death is the least we can ask for at this point.

I like when people say “We are better than that”, have you ever spoken to anyone who’s served in the military? When we run up on ISIS do you think we try to take a peaceful approach? Or is the “We’re better than that” only applicable within our borders?
Truth of the matter is criminals and savages are killed everyday b and this is no different.

I’ve heard it said that it’s more costly in the long run to execute someone. As sick as this guy is, life in the lock-up ain’t gonna be fun for him.

As I write above, I’ve heard that executing someone costs the state more money than locking him away and tossing the key. And I don’t think the inmates like the truly sick ones, particularly if they preyed upon young people.

Wow. I can’t even wrap my head around any of that, especially the damn mother! The suspects are nothing but pure evil and they need to be erased from existence. Hopefully general population in prison takes care of them sooner than later.
Regardless of what happens to them, there just isn’t enough justice in the world that can make up for what happened to that poor child and what she went through. My heart is broken for her.

You cannot tolerate even the slightest bit of dissent. Without complete cohesion with your own opinion from others, you become belligerent. You don’t understand the difference between dismantling an argument and dismantling the person who constructed it, so it only appears to you that you are responding in kind.
This kind of behavior isn’t favored here on oppo. We are expected to have respect for the other people we interact with here, or barring that, at least refrain for personally attacking the people we don’t like. I’ll refer you to the official rulebook for posting here , specifically the 3rd item about ‘shit-stirring’ and the general notion that people authored here will not maintain vendettas against other posters and engage in attacking people personally.
Given those rules, I will expect your interactions with me from now on to be devoid of this behavior, as is expected of everyone here on oppo.

You are really on a meltdown here.
Hardly. In all of my replies to you on here, I have not personally attacked you once. I wish I could say the same for yours. Perhaps one day you will distinguish the difference between an argument and the person it’s coming from.
Also, you have no authority over anyone here
I have have laid no such claim to ‘authority over anyone’ here on oppo. I have only referred you to the official rulebook for posting here, explained how your behavior is in violation of it, and my completely fair expectation that it will stop. I obviously cannot make you stop, of course. But being made aware of a code of conduct is not the same thing is being made to suffer consequences for breaking it. If you don’t want to follow the rulebook, then feel free to conduct yourself however you wish. One way or the other, you are not my problem.
please simmer down.
please refrain from personally attacking people you have disagreements with on here. Your yes gets mime.
